BSA Applauds Introduction of 21st Century SKILLS Act
WASHINGTON – June 19, 2019 – BSA | The Software Alliance welcomes the 21st Century SKILLS Act, introduced by Senator Kamala Harris today. As software becomes more prevalent and the demand for technical knowledge increases, industry and policymakers must ensure the current workforce can gain the skills they need to succeed. The 21st Century SKILLS Act would create a grant program to promote skills-based training and help workers access these high-value training opportunities, facilitating their transition into new in-demand jobs. We look forward to working with Senator Harris and Congress to pass this important legislation.
