BSA Statement on Capitol Insurrection
WASHINGTON – January 12, 2021 – The insurrection on January 6 was deeply disturbing and not representative of our country or its ideals. BSA supports free and fair elections and the peaceful transition of power. We are horrified by those who encourage or partake in violence to disrupt such a transition and strongly condemn those actions. We urge everyone to stay home and away from protests around Inauguration Day that may lead to more violence. Moving forward, we hope that our national discourse will be one of civility, with respect for the law and for individuals consistent with our democracy.
