BSA | The Software Alliance Statement on Defend Trade Secrets Act
WASHINGTON — January 28, 2016 — BSA | The Software Alliance commends the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee in passing the Defend Trade Secrets Act. We appreciate the leadership of Senator Orrin Hatch and Senator Chris Coons in moving forward this important, bipartisan legislation and readying it for the Senate floor. The theft of trade secrets is a direct threat to the innovation economy, and this legislation will help protect American companies and their hard-earned research and development. We applaud this progress and urge swift Senate action.
