BSA | The Software Alliance Statement on the Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing on Trade Secrets
WASHINGTON — December 1, 2015 — BSA | The Software Alliance applauds the leadership of Senator Hatch and Senator Coons in moving forward to Senate action on trade secrets. The theft of trade secrets is a direct threat to the innovation economy. This hearing builds momentum for the passage of the Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2015 by highlighting the importance of legislation to protect American companies and their hard-earned research and development.
In July, BSA co-signed letters to members of the House and Senate Judiciary Committees expressing support for the Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2015. We look forward to working with the House and Senate to pass meaningful trade secrets legislation.
