Australia: BSA Comments on Productivity Commission’s Harnessing Data and Digital Technology Interim Report

BSA filed the following comments on to the Australia Productivity Commission’s Interim Report on Harnessing Data and Digital Technologies. BSA commended the Productivity Commission’s focus on harnessing emerging technologies and provided further recommendations on how that can be achieved, including by prioritising high-risk AI use cases, establishing clear roles in the AI supply chain, introducing a copyright exception for AI training and implementing a controller-processor distinction in the Privacy Act.
