Australia: BSA Response to Australia Productivity Commission Consultation

BSA filed the following comments with the Australian Productivity Commission in response to its consultation on “Harnessing Data and Digital Technology”. BSA’s response reiterates key positions on privacy and AI-related issues, including the importance of having a controller-processor distinction in the Privacy Act, the need for a clear and narrow definition of high-risk AI use cases, and support for the introduction of a Text and Data Mining exception.
