BSA Priorities in Procurement

The incoming Administration must take immediate action to update the federal government’s IT infrastructure to meet the pressing needs that confront government employees, US citizens, and communities. The United States’ glacial speed for procurement puts government systems, on average, 10 years behind the commercial market. As technology moves more quickly, the Administration must find ways to speed the acquisition of enterprise software to update antiquated and expensive systems. Modern IT infrastructure will provide better cybersecurity posture while reducing operations and maintenance costs on outdated systems.
