BSA Submission to the EU Commission’s Public Consultation on the Guidance on Incident Reporting (Article 73 of the AI Act)

BSA has responded to the European Commission’s consultation on draft guidance for incident reporting under the AI Act, underscoring the need for clear, consistent, and interoperable rules for high-risk AI systems. We encourage the Commission to align reporting obligations with existing EU frameworks, ensure proportionality in what qualifies as a “serious incident,” and provide workable expectations for providers and deployers. Our submission reflects BSA members’ commitment to advancing safe, trustworthy AI while supporting Europe’s digital innovation and competitiveness.
