Korea: BSA Comments on Network Separation in Electronic Financial Supervisory Regulations

BSA filed comments on the Financial Services Commission’s proposed amendments to the Electronic Financial Supervision Regulations on network separation. In the submission, BSA urged the FSC to allow the secure use of SaaS for systems handling personal and credit information and cautioned against prescriptive security requirements that are misaligned with SaaS delivery models. BSA recommended a more risk-based, outcome-focused approach to support cybersecurity and innovation in Korea’s financial services sector.
