Korea: BSA Recommendations on Updated Draft Enforcement Decree to the AI Basic Act

BSA filed the following comments on the updated Draft Enforcement Decree of the AI Basic Act. In the submission, BSA urged the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) to suspend obligations on businesses and retract amendments that increase the complexity of transparency obligations. BSA also reiterated recommendations to exclude minor modifications from the scope of transparency obligation, to assign the transparency obligations to the appropriate entities, and to clarify that high-impact obligations apply to AI systems and not AI models.
