US: BSA Testimony on Massachusetts Senate Bill 33

As you consider advancing comprehensive consumer data privacy legislation in the Commonwealth, we urge the Committee to recognize the value in adopting a privacy law that is interoperable with other state laws and promotes the use of privacy and security protective practices across state lines. We believe two bills before the Committee — S. 33 and H. 80 — promote a consistent approach to protecting consumer privacy and should guide the legislature’s approach to privacy legislation.
