BSA: Privacy and Security Requirements Needed, Not Restrictions on Cross-Border Data Transfers

BSA | The Software Alliance calls for data privacy and security requirements following the release of the new Executive Order on cross-border data transfers.
“Placing restrictions on cross-border data transfers risks normalizing practices that U.S. adversaries use for other purposes,” The BSA said in a statement. “Especially considering that data privacy and security requirements offer a better way to address these very legitimate issues.”
