Government News, July 11, 2019
By Darryn Lim, Director, Policy – APAC, BSA | The Software Alliance
The recent G20 program provided many headlines, but what was most striking was that the program was largely devoted to the digital economy. The program made clear that G20 leaders seek to capitalise on technological innovation to drive future jobs and economic growth. BSA’s Darryn Lim shared with Government News on the G20 Declaration and how it is a timely reminder that emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) are critical to the nation’s future. It is important for governments to work closely with the industry to build consensus and develop robust ethics policies to deliver transformative technology we can trust.
