High School Coders Head to The Hill

Only 15% of female students in the DC area are interested in pursuing a STEM career. So 60 future coders descended on Capitol Hill this week to raise awareness among lawmakers, including Sen. Tammy Baldwin and Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton, about the importance of STEM education and getting more girls and women into software coding. The group is posing with event sponsor BSA The Software Alliance's president, Victoria Espinel (in red).
