BSA: Multi-Cloud Legislation Enhances Govt Services
WASHINGTON – Victoria Espinel, CEO of BSA | The Software Alliance, issued the following statement praising the introduction of the Multi-Cloud Innovation and Advancement Act.
BSA | The Software Alliance applauds Sens. Steve Daines (R-MT) and Jacky Rosen (D-NV) for their bipartisan leadership to further the adoption of multi-cloud solutions by the US government.
Multi-cloud solutions help to provide better services to government at a more competitive value for taxpayers. Adopting a path to multi-cloud solutions helps avoid overcommitting the government to any single cloud service provider. This approach facilitates the ability for cloud services to operate with one another, which can enhance their resiliency, while allowing for the government to move data easily. And a multi-cloud approach ultimately encourages cost competition between providers.
The Multi-Cloud Innovation and Advancement Actintroduced by Senators Daines and Rosen will help the government fully realize the benefits of IT modernization and digital transformation tools. BSA looks forward to partnering with Senators Daines and Rosen – along with bipartisan House leaders who have introduced similar legislation – to advance multi-cloud solutions for the US government.
