BSA Welcomes EU-Korea Digital Trade Deal

In light of the newly announced EU-Korea Digital Trade Agreement (DTA), the Business Software Alliance (BSA) released the following statement:

"We welcome this agreement as an important step toward a more open and predictable digital economy. In a world where businesses rely on cross-border data flows, clear and fair rules are essential. This deal bridges EU and Korean approaches to privacy, data flows, and digital trade and improves legal certainty for businesses. It also reflects the EU’s broader digital trade agenda, which has already set important precedents through agreements with Japan and Singapore. We look forward to finding out the details of the agreement and assessing how it will support businesses in practice,” said Irma Gudžiūnaitė, BSA Policy Director - EMEA.

BSA looks forward to further engagement with like-minded partners to advance a trusted and connected digital marketplace.
