SAP joins top trade association focused on enterprise software, digital transformation
WASHINGTON – January 11, 2022 – BSA | The Software Alliance today welcomed SAP as a new global member. Julia White, Chief Marketing and Solutions Officer and member of the Executive Board at SAP SE, will join BSA’s Board of Directors.
“Companies in every industry are increasingly embracing software-powered tools to work more efficiently, increase the speed of innovation, and create previously unimaginable products. Enterprise software companies like SAP are leading the charge on digital transformation,” said Victoria Espinel, President and CEO of BSA | The Software Alliance. “I’m excited to work with SAP and Julia as BSA continues to advocate for policies that encourage the responsible use of tech while allowing innovation to flourish.”
SAP is the market leader in enterprise application software, helping companies of all sizes and in all industries run at their best: 77% of the world’s transaction revenue touches an SAP system. SAP’s business applications and cloud technologies help turn customers’ businesses into intelligent, sustainable enterprises. SAP employs over 100,000 people worldwide and is headquartered in Waldorf, Germany.
“Technology can help every business run better,” said Julia White, Chief Marketing and Solutions Officer at SAP. “However, to fully reap the benefits of innovation, we need to ensure that we have the right guardrails in place so people trust the technology they are using. I’m eager to work with BSA on some of the most pressing policy issues of today—including data privacy, AI regulation, cybersecurity, and digital economy frameworks.”
