Vietnam: Joint Industry Association Concerns Regarding Decree Guiding the Implementation of the Law on Artificial Intelligence

BSA, together with other industry associations, recommend a more proportionate, practical, and innovation-supportive approach to AI regulation in this joint letter to Vietnam’s Prime Minister. The letter recommends that General Purpose AI systems should not be treated as high risk or medium risk by default, allowing companies to leverage internally recognized standards for high risk AI requirement, and adopting more practical, flexible, and technology-neutral labeling requirements for AI-generated content.
