Industry Group Lauded for New Secure-Software Framework; Plan Could Sway Regulatory, Liability Moves

Key lawmakers are praising the software industry's leading trade association for its launch of a framework to guide the development of secure software -- while limiting liability -- amid increasing pressure from federal government and other customers seeking accountability. “The senator views [BSA | The Software Alliance] as the most mature, forward-thinking and pragmatic, evolving industry association in this space and he really really appreciates the engagement in our legislative efforts, your thought leadership, and this really remarkable product."
