BSA Highlights Issues With CA AB 1018

“Need a great example for AB 1018's broad overreach into mundane uses of AI? See what the California State Water Board has to say,” Business Software Alliance senior vice president of U.S. government relations Craig Albright said in an Aug. 18 LinkedIn post.
“Any business that develops, modifies, or uses AI should take a moment to understand why this legislation is a problem,” Albright posted earlier.
“It's pretty clear from the State Water Board's own feedback: concerns about 1018's broad reach and its effects aren't just limited to industry,” a BSA spokesperson said.
