Importance of International Data Transfers to the Brazilian Economy - Innovation and Global Value Chains
BSA’s Joe Whitlock will be featured as a keynote speaker in an online event to discuss Brazil’s implementation of its Data Protection Law as it pertains to cross-border data flows. The conversation will address the importance of international data transfers to the Brazilian economy from an innovation and global value chain perspective.
In addition to the opening remarks on the importance of cross-border data flows, the event will include a panel on the Global CBPR certification and a panel to discuss adequacy. The event is being organized by the “Forum Empresarial LGPD”, which is an industry coalition that comprises trade associations representing nearly 90% of the productive sector in Brazil.
