"There is a lot of opportunity for the administration to clarify and harmonize rules to both improve cybersecurity and foster AI adoption,” commented a Business Software Alliance spokesperson. “Harmonizing cybersecurity rules can also make sure regulations are consistent and clear across government, and that those rules map to recognized standards and guidance.” 

The BSA spokesperson added, “Streamlining and rationalizing regulations to make them workable in practice will help companies develop and use cutting-edge technologies that secure critical information and improve services."
